Tasty methi Paratha (How to make methi Paratha)



Ingredients needed for Methi Paratha

Wheat Flour : 2 cups
Methi/Fenugreek Leaves : 1 cup
Red Chili Powder/Green Chili(chopped) : 2 pics (Generally I use green chili.)
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp.
Ajwain + Mangraila: ½ tsp
Oil/Ghee : 2 tbsp(for fry)
Salt for taste.


How to Make Methi Paratha

Step 1
First wash the Methi Leaves well & chopped it roughly.

Step 2
Now take a bowl & add Wheat Flour, Methi Leaves, Chili (powder/green chopped), Turmeric Powder, Ajwain, Mangraila, Salt & 2 tsp Oil into them & mix it well by hand.

Step 3
Now onwards rest process is same as for other Paratha dough, Add water slowly-slowly into the mixture & make a soft dough. Then after cover it by any cloth and let it sit for 1 hour.

Step 4
Divide the dough in small equal size of polo balls & roll the ball into circular shape with the help of base & rolling pin.

Step 5
Now keep the Griddle (Tawa or Frying Pan) on heat & put the Paratha on it & cook for a minute.

Step 6
When bubbles will start appearing apply a little Oil/Ghee on it & flip it over to the other side. Let the other side also get cook.

Step 7
Now you will see some Golden Brown spots on the topside after a few seconds, Spread 1 tsp of Oil/Ghee on the Paratha again & flip the Paratha and lightly press the puffed areas with the help of Ladle.

Step 8
Now yours Methi Paratha is ready to serve you can serve it with Butter or Curd or any Mango Pickles.


Tip’s for Methi Paratha

If you will add a pinch of Ajwain(Carom)+Kalaunaji(Mangraila) with Wheat Paratha taste will be some more better.
For preparation of any kinds of Paratha you can mix Ghee or Oil (approx 2 tsp) during making dough.
